Facials

  • I am a first time client, are there any extra steps I need to take before I come in for my appointment?

We ask that first-time clients bring in all of their current at-home skincare products or know the names of the products they are currently using so you can discuss it with your esthetician.

Having these details will not only help your esthetician with personalizing your service but with making any recommendations for your at-home routine as well.

Lastly, be sure to let your esthetician know of any medication you are currently taking and of any medical or skin conditions you may have.

  • I have an important event coming up, When should I book my facial?

If you do not frequently receive facials or have not in a while, we recommend scheduling your appointment about 6 weeks in advance with a follow-up a little closer to your event.

This gives your esthetician time to address any negative skin reactions and helps you and your skin achieve maximum results from the service.

  • What is standard aftercare?

After your treatment be sure to keep your skin hydrated as proper hydration is key to maximizing the benefits.

Do not visit the sauna or steam room, spend time in the sun without the proper SPF protection, or apply harsh and potentially irritating at-home peels or retinol treatments.

  • I have acne, which facial should I book?

Our Maskne facial is best for clients who are only suffering from mild acne.

Our Acne No More includes a deeper exfoliation, extra time for extractions as well as LED Therapy. This is designed for clients suffering from moderate to severe acne.

  • Do you want to book a facial, but you just aren’t sure what to get?

Our Wild Card facial is the perfect treatment for you! This service allows our estheticians extra time to do a consultation prior to your facial and customize the entire service around your specific skincare goals!

Skin Revision Treatments

  • What is ProCell Microchanneling?

Microchanneling is a noninvasive procedure designed to stimulate your body’s own natural ability to generate collagen, elastin and other building blocks of healthy skin.

By stimulating the outmost layers of the skin, microchanneling can help your body start this process without penetrating living tissue.

  • Is ProCell painful?

This treatment has minimal physical discomfort and most clients are able to do the procedure without numbing cream or any noticeable pain or lingering discomfort.

  • What skin conditions does ProCell target?

ProCell treatments can improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring and stretch marks.

  • What is DMK?

DMK is an enzyme therapy treatment that includes a hard setting face and body mask that is applied from the décolletage, up the neck and over the face.

The mask contains living enzymes that stimulate naturally occurring enzymes within the skin to accelerate the cellular processes.

DMK treatments are designed to receive 3 consecutive treatments 4-6 weeks apart in order to achieve optimal results.

  • Why is my skin breaking out after one DMK treatment?

First off, Don’t stress! It is perfectly normal to experience ‘breakouts’ after a DMK treatment. This is a process we call ‘purging’, which is when there is a release of underlying congestion that had been trapped deep down within the pores and is now pushing its way up to the surface.

We view this as a positive response to the treatment as we are waking up skin functions that were not working at its optimal level.

We actually encourage purging as part of the REMOVE phase of the DMK concept and with consistent treatments and use of DMK at home products these breakouts will clear up as quickly as possible leaving you with some pretty spectacular results!

  • Can I get DMK treatments without using the DMK at home products and vice versa?

DMK’s concept of Remove, Rebuild, Protect, and Maintain utilizes our signature Enzyme Therapy treatments to encourage the revision and rebuilding of new optimally functioning cells for healthier younger-looking skin. Our Home Prescriptive products then enhance, protect, and maintain these results. Only having treatments and not using products or vice versa means we cannot guarantee the optimal results.

  • Who can benefit from Rezenerate treatment?

Rezenerate treatment can benefit sunspots, age spots, acne scarring, fine line and wrinkles.

  • Is Rezenerate a microneedling treatment?

No, rezenerate is a nanofacial treatment that doesn’t involve piercing of the skin, pain/discomfort, bleeding or prolonged down time.

  • Will Procell or Rezenerate treatments damage my Botox or Filler?

No, it will not however we recommend waiting at least 2-4 weeks after Botox/Filler before scheduling a rezenerate treatment.

Brows + Lashes

  • What is a brow lamination and who is a good candidate for this service?

Brow laminations are s a semi-permanent treatment that creates an instant look of added volume, fullness, and fluffiness by realigning the direction of the brow hairs.

This service is great for clients who have stubborn hair growth, course unruly brows, and brows that do not stay in place.

  • What is a Lash Lift and how long does it last?

A Lash Lift treatment works by boosting and lifting each individual lash to its full potential, then tinting them for a thicker, darker, and more dramatic-looking lash. Results last 6-8 weeks or until your eyelashes have naturally grown out.

  • What is Henna Brows and how long do they last?

Henna Brows are created using a natural dye from the henna plant to stain the skin under the brow hairs to create an illusion of depth and fullness, visually filling any sparseness. It also coats the brow hairs with color, rather than changing the natural brow hair color from within like regular tints do. This gentle process makes henna brows well suited to sensitive skin, while the easy-to-control dye can match almost any skin tone and brow shape.

Henna Brows will last up to 2-4 weeks on the skin and 6-8 weeks on the brow hairs depending on your skin type and aftercare.

  • What is the aftercare for a Brow Lamination, Henna Brow, and Lash Lifts?

After these 3 services, you will need to avoid getting your brows/lashes wet or apply makeup to them for 24-48 hours post-treatment.

  • Are Lash Lifts, Henna Brows, and Brow Laminations pregnancy safe?

Unfortunately Brow Laminations are not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding due to elevated sensitivity caused by hormones.

Lash Lifts and Henna Brows are both pregnancy safe after your first trimester.

  • What is the difference between a Henna Brow and a Brow tint?

Regular brow tinting will only tint the brow hairs and last between 4-6 weeks. Henna brows tint penetrates the follicles and stains the skin, therefore lasting longer than a normal tint and giving the brows a structured, filled-in look.

Body Waxing

  • How can I prepare for my wax appointment?

We recommend to gently exfoliate the area being waxed a day or two before, to remove dead skin cell build-up that surrounds the hair follicles.

  • Will waxing cause my hair to grow back thicker and darker?

No, waxing will create the opposite results. Waxing removes the unwanted hair at the root, which causes hair to grow back softer and finer over time.

  • Can I get waxed if I'm taking Retina A, Renova, Accutane?

These medications increase the rate at which your skin exfoliates therefore, waxing could potentially remove the skin as well as hair. We do not recommend getting waxed until you are at least one year off of Accutane.

Airbrush Tan

  • How long will my airbrush tan last?

Airbrush tans can last between 5-10 days depending on your skin type and tone. Maintain your tan by moisturizing 1-2 times a day and avoiding long showers, swimming, and saunas.

  • How should I prepare for my airbrush tan?

Prior to your airbrush tan appointment, we recommend showering and exfoliating your skin a few hours before.

Wear loose-fitting clothing to your appointment and avoid wearing lotion, deodorant, or other beauty products.

  • What is the difference between the Classic and Rapid?

Our Classic spray takes 6-8 hours to fully develop and our Rapid spray takes 1-3 hours.

To achieve a light tan rise 1 hour after application, 2 hours to achieve medium tan, 3 or more hours to achieve dark tan.

Massage Therapy

  • What are the benefits of Massage Therapy?

One of the immediate benefits of massage is the feeling of deep relaxation. Massage prompts the release of endorphins which are the brain chemicals that produce feelings of wellbeing. Levels of stress hormones, such as adrenalin, cortisol, and norepinephrine are reduced during your massage session. Massage therapy includes various physical benefits such as; reduced muscle tension, improved circulation, stimulation of the lymphatic system, increased joint mobility and flexibility.

  • How do I prepare for a massage?

We suggest coming hydrated and clean/showered and arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to allow time to use the restroom, have a drink, and begin relaxing.

  • What is deep tissue?

Deep tissue is the concept of working specifically on an area of tension or injury by using slow, deep strokes. It is often best to receive deep tissue on one specific area, as opposed to the full body. We recommend booking a 90 minutes massage if you would like a full body massage because it is a slow, specific method to achieve optimal results. Firm pressure can still be applied to the full body but it is not the same experience or results as deep tissue.

  • I am feeling a little sore post-massage, is that normal?

Massage is not supposed to hurt or cause any pain after your appointment, although some discomfort can be expected in areas of tension.

You want your body to be in a parasympathetic state, meaning you should always be able to breathe easily. If there is anything beyond moderate discomfort or persistent pain let your therapist know.

  • I was in a car accident. Can I book a massage?

If you were injured it is always recommended to see a doctor before coming for treatment. We recommend waiting at least 72 hours after an injury before getting a massage. Your therapist has the right to turn you away if they don’t feel comfortable working on a certain injury. Massage can be a wonderful complement to other bodywork therapies, such as chiropractic work or physical therapy.

  • I’ve felt sick after past massages, is this normal?

This can happen if you are dehydrated or got deeper work than your body was comfortable with. While this can be common, it’s not necessary. You should feel good after a massage! Find a therapist you trust who won’t overwork your muscle tissues and be able to communicate with them if the pressure is too much. Come hydrated and fed, a light snack is best. If being face down too long is difficult for you, communicate this to your therapist. Sometimes the sinus pressure can build up or you’ll feel dizzy face down so it’s best to be face up. A lot of effective work can still take place!
